of users annually on its indoor track, which is believed to be the largest in Wisconsin.
The Heatbreaker will have four "heats" with 125 runners in each heat. There will be $1,000 in prize money to the top three overall male and female finishers. There will also be a Half Marathon Relay at 7 p.m.
PT Timing of Milwaukee, Wis. will handle the timing for the Heatbreaker. PT Timing will use a radio frequency chip timing system that is similar to what they use for high school and collegiate indoor track meets. Runners will attach the chip around their ankle, and laps will be automatically recorded by PT’s computer system.
The Heatbreaker is presented by Longrun Athletics, which also produces the Icebreaker Indoor Marathon & Half Marathon each January at the Pettit Center. He event sells out every year and has received front-page coverage in the Wall Street Journal.
