It's not too early to start making plans to run in the inaugural 26.2 wtih Donna: The National Marathon to Fight Breast Cancer. The event will be held on February 17, 2008 in Jacksonville, Florida, and promises to be one of the memorable first-time marathons in the country.
The beneficiary of the race will be the Donna Hicken Foundation and Mayo Clinic. The foundation is a charitable organization dedicated to helping women with breast cancer. A portion of the proceeds will be used by the foundation for the care of breast cancer survivors in need, while the majority of the proceeds will be given to the Mayo Clinic for research and its Multidisciplinary Breast Clinic.
